Paint pots by MAC are very popular. Since i'm new in beauty world didn’t realise I would prefer something simple, I decided to get Rubenesque. That is not to say it is a bad paint pot, most definitely not! so read till Z to know this cutie ....
Color & Texture:
Rubenesque is a peachy gold, very similar to Melon pigment by MAC.
(will be reviewed soon) It is a stunning shade.
You can also get a lot of other shades as well and MAC tend to come out with different shades in limited edition collections too so you can try a variety of shades out.
The texture of it when it is applied, is very smooth and silky. You can use a brush or your fingers to apply it but I prefer to use my fingers .
This paint pot blends very well. You don’t see any kind of patches. As the pigmentation in it is pretty good, you can either put one layer on, which will give you a nice sheen and some colour, or you can layer it on for more intensity.
MAC paint pots are eyeshadow bases which you put on before applying powder eyeshadow. On the other hand, you can also use them as eyeshadows as there are a variety of different types that you can get.
As I use it as a base mostly, i just apply one layer and then the eye shadow on top. This works perfectly for me.
I have noticed with this product though, is that although it looks beautiful, it doesn’t last as long on my lids as other eyeshadow bases. It wears off quicker. But if i use as an eyeshadow & apply a primer underneath, this stays for a very long time!
a great, not a must have, but a great product nonetheless!
Lemme summarize it for all you,
what to Love :
-Smooth, creamy texture -Small pot makes it easy to travel with -Quite a lot of product for its purpose
What to Hate/negative:
Some have said it has dried up (Although I have had it for a long time and not experienced that)
